ABOUT
This WORK represents the pursuit of understanding place and the space it defines.
Anastasia was born in Memphis, TN, and raised with music, dance, photography, and architectural design, all things which shaped a particular seeing of the world. Gathering these interests into an education and career, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Memphis, with a concentration in Photography and Sculpture, and a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design.
As an artist, architectural designer and builder, her pursuits in drawing, making, photography, sculpture, exhibition design/installation and furniture production continue to influence her work. Currently, Anastasia lives and works in Rhode Island and Vermont.
Anastasia has twenty-five years of experience working in the fields of art and architecture (and in-between) with Friedrich St.Florian Architects, Oblique Studio, KPF, Richard Fleischner Studio, and buildingstudio. She currently teaches at Rhode Island School of Design, and has taught at Yestermorrow Design/Build School and Roger Williams University.
