HUDSON YARDS
Two office towers rise above the city, atop a newly constructed platform and the west side rail yards. This new ground aligns with the northern end, and final phase, of the High Line as the spur curves to the east and through the southern tower. Encompassing nearly 5.5 million square feet, this mixed-use complex bound by 10th Avenue, 33rd Street, Hudson Boulevard and 30th Street will be the largest commercial building in New York City.
Part of a master plan, it also includes the extension of the 7 Subway Line to the west and south along with public space continuing to the north to connect with surrounding neighborhoods.
This work in progress, led by KPF, includes towers designed by DS+R and SOM as well as a public plaza by Nelson Byrd Woltz and the artist Thomas Heatherwick.
